QSL Cards

Updated: Looking the QSL Card Kit?
The QSL Card Kit has everything we use to simplify sending and collecting QSL Cards!

Like so many great sports and hobbies, having and trading collectable items and cards adds another level of excitement and enjoyment!
Sure, radio has log books and maps, but did you know about QSL Cards?

What is a QSL Card?
Put simply, it is like a postcard, but slightly different, allow me to explain:
A QSL Card is a custom radio station card created by you!
Well, each station creates their own card and it typically has information and/or a picture as well as some fields that match the station logs about the date, time and mode of contact.

Why QSL Cards?
Fun. It is not not mandatory, cards are completely optional and not everyone does them. Typically they are used only for HF contacts (not local VHF/UHF contacts). There is a certain excitement when checking the mailbox and you see a card arrive from another state or even another country! You can hang them on your wall or save them in a photo album scrap book.

Bonus:
Sometimes clubs or groups run as a “Special Event Station” celebrating, remembering or honoring famous dates and locations. When this happens, they usually have special QSL Cards or even certificates and/or stamps to exchange for any radio operators that make contact during the given special event. Some examples (and there are many) include:
13 Colonies
Route 66

How do I get my own QSL Cards?
